Vera Sporadica.png

Chicago-based entertainer, Vera Sporadica originally hails from rural, southwest Minnesota, and has always had a flare for the dramatics. She holds a bachelors degree in theatre, and has over 15 years experience in professional storefront and avantgarde theatre, singing/songwriting, and improvisation.

She began her burlesque journey when she stumbled upon an introductory group class with the legendary Po'Chop in summer of 2019. From that first group performance, she was completely hooked.

Mz. Sporadica enjoys exploring every corner of burlesque - from the Glamorous to the Weird. She lives for the autonomy and fearlessness the artform invites, and is fueled by each opportunity to meet new facets of herself previously "clothed" beneath the surface; reveling in classic, neo, nerd-lesque, sing-strips, and more! She is known as "the ephemeral fatale" and has also been said to have a neo-classic style with a hob-goblin twist.

Sporadic, ephemeral, and 'Vera'-sa-tile (and a lover of terrible puns), Vera can be seen performing regularly around Chicago at Bordel, Untitled Supper Club, The Drifter, The Newport Theater, and more - and across the U.S. She has had the honor to appear at Show Me Burlesque Festival (2023), Teaser Fest (2024), Pacific Northwest Burlesque Festival (2024), Metalesque Fest™ (2024), & The Titty 500 (2026).

Vera is also the creator, producer and emcee of VaVoom Lagoon - a tropical/nautical burlesque revue featuring a rotating cast of Chicago's finest burlesque entertainers.
